H1N1 Vaccine Risks

Tuesday, October 6th, 2009

The widely spread epidemic of the swine flu (H1N1) has created a whole new need for some serious vaccination. Currently the influenza virus is not going to be deadly in healthy men and women, but with people who belong to the risk groups it is important to do everything you can to avoid the condition. This includes vaccination, but before you start looking for a way to get the flu shot, you should be aware of the H1N1 vaccine risks to know what you are risking.

The problem with the vaccionation is that it is so new that there are no decent scientific studies which have reported any side-effects, and this is why the US government has made it their business to start examinating the possible risks of the H1N1 vaccine mass-distribution. There are plans to vaccinate the majority of US citizens and that is why it is important to make charts of the possible side-effects. Once the mass vaccination starts there are going to be scientists analyzing the amounts of diseases and medical conditions that turn up. The problem is that there is already a large amount of heart attacks, miscarriage and allergic reactions happening on a daily basis, and if the H1N1 vaccine risks involve any of these, it is going to be hard to analyze wether it is normal or caused by it.

Nurses Are Refusing From Mandatory Flu Shots

Saturday, October 3rd, 2009

VaccinationIt is normal for the parents to be used to the flu shots for their children before they go to school. This has been around for a long time already and obligatory vaccinations have saved a lot of lives. But when you have to have flu shots when you are an adult, things seem to go a bit over the top.

It is the first time in history as the hospitals and the university health symstems are assigning compulsory vaccinations to their staff. This is to prevent the flu from spreading, but as to their surprise some members of the staff are not as happy about it as it was expected.

You would consider getting a free ticket to not get ill of the flu would be tempting to people who are working in the health care industry, but there is a great number of nurses who are not willing to take that vaccination. They made it mandatory for the staff to have both a yearly influenza vaccination and also a H1N1 vaccination for health care employees.

The official position of the nurses seems to be that they feel like the vaccines are used for testing purposes on them and that is why they are not happy with it.
