The International Olympic Commitee made two eliminations in the run for 2016 Olympic Games. Chicago and Tokyo are no longer contenders for the games and there are a still only Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and Spain left as contenders.

It seems that even if President Obama took time to go visit the Olympic Commitee, it did not help the chances of Chicago of having the honor of organizing the games.

All the cities gave the proposals on Friday and after that the members of the IOC decided on which countries should be still included in the game, and which should not.

As for other countries, Spain’s King Juan Carlos and the Queen Sofia accompanied with President Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero are going to work on promoting the possible 2016 Madrid Olympics.

For Brazil, the President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva is going to take Pele – a soccer hero – to present their plans for the games in Rio.
