Today it is, the time to be extra nice and thank your boss if she or he has been kind to you the past year – it’s National Boss Day 2009, also known as Bosses Day. There is some controversy about the day in the United States and it has been nicknamed the Hallmark Holiday. 

It is quite a marketing orientated and you can see advertisement giving you gift ideas to get your boss even a few weeks before the day is coming. There is quite a lot of days like this in the US and even if they are publicly considered as being there just to sell more products – people still like to give gifts and to receive them.
