Hurricane Rick Projected Path
Sunday, October 18th, 2009
Hurricane Rick has escalated to a category 5 hurricane (this means that the wind speeds are above 155 mph) while over the Mexican Pacific Coast. It is showing out to be the most powerful Storm in a while and it is considered as “extremely powerful”. If a hurricane of this power would hit a city where there are high buildings, almost all the windows would be shattered and picked up by the wind. There has been made calcutaions about the Hurricane Rick projected path and the most recent data shows that it might just well stay away from the coast for even five days until it starts to turn towards Peninsula. By the time it gets that far it would be already decreased to a category 2 hurricane.
There has been a fatal shooting in the Great Mall of Milpitas. One man was killed in the two story building and the mall remained open for the rest of the day. The police closed the part of the mall where the Great Mall Shooting took place, and business was continued in a normal fashion. For now police are not giving out the identity of the victim to the public. Most likely they want to keep it private until they can inform the victims family and friends.
